Gadget-Filled Season

I'm SO lucky, got a Kindle 2 for Christmas. I can tell that I'm going to LOVE buying and reading books on it. And the capability to download samples of books is great. I have about 20 samples on it already!

Reading and holding the device is not as difficult as I thought it might be. We'll need to get to high-res color pictures before books can be completely replaced, but clearly we're well on the way.

I spent the evening deleting the dead-tree versions of books from my Amazon.com wishlist and replacing them with the Kindle version...

Any particular reason you chose the Kindle over the Nook? I see the iPad is supposed to have a Kindle app coming out for it. Thoughts? BTW, I'm not having much luck getting items off my TiVo as of late, any suggestions? and is there a good way to put items ON the TiVo such as a show that I download for Hulu, etc?
